Meghalaya means Abode of Clouds, and by the time this trip ends you'll understand why. Five days move through mist that never fully lifts: Cherrapunji's ridges disappearing into fog by mid morning, Nohkalikai Falls dropping into a gorge you can't always see the bottom of, and the living root bridge at Nongriat, quiet enough that you can hear the stream under your feet the whole trek down. Rainbow Waterfall only earns its name when the light breaks through just right. Dawki's river runs so clear the boat looks like it's floating on nothing at all. Even Mawlynnong, often called Asia's cleanest village, feels less like a tourist stop and more like a held breath: swept lanes, bamboo fences, almost no sound. This is what New Year's Eve looks like on this trip, not a countdown but five days of cloud, water and quiet that happen to end on 31 December. Land in Guwahati before noon and our team meets you at the airport for the four hour drive to Shillong, with lunch and a stop at Umiam Lake on the way. Evening is yours to explore Police Bazaar. Dinner and overnight stay in Shillong.
The drive to Cherrapunji takes in Elephant Falls, Dympep Valley View Point and Garden of Caves, ending at Nohkalikai Falls as evening light hits the gorge. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
Trek from Tyrna Village down to the Double Decker Root Bridge, then on to Rainbow Waterfall and Seven Sister Falls. Overnight stay in Cherrapunji.
Arwah Caves in the morning, then the drive to Shnongpdeng via a viewpoint over the Bangladesh border, with a stop at Mawlynnong, often called Asia's cleanest village. Overnight stay in Shnongpdeng.
Morning boating on Dawki's Umngot river, then the drive back to Shillong with a stop at Phe Phe Waterfall for a swim below the falls. Back in Shillong by evening, dinner included as usual, and then the night is yours. Head into Police Bazaar or Laitumkhrah for Shillong's live band scene, or find a rooftop bar and watch the city welcome the new year from up there. No fixed plan for the night, since Shillong genuinely doesn't need one handed to you.
New Year's Day starts with the drive to Guwahati Airport via Laitlum Canyon, reaching by around 3 pm. Book your departure flight for after 5 pm.

- 30 minutes of complimentary boating in Dawki river, 4 people per boat

- Any food or drink outside the package, including alcohol on New Year's Eve itself, mineral water, and meals or snacks picked up on the highway
- Personal expenses: driver tips, entry fees to attractions not named in the itinerary, camera charges, river rafting, laundry, phone bills, and any spending during your free evening in Shillong on 31 December
- Any cost caused by landslides, roadblocks or other natural disruptions, payable on the spot
No Refund shall be made with respect to the initial booking amount for any cancellations. However,
- If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 75% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
- In the case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases, the operator will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However, no refund will be provided for the same.
